Relay

A durable, fault-tolerant distributed job queue in Rust. Expiring leases with fencing tokens, retries with backoff, delayed work, dead letters and bounded concurrency, on a single transactional SQLite writer. Delivery is at-least-once, and the failure semantics are documented and tested instead of hidden.

  • 9,792/sLease + ACK throughput, every state change durably committed
  • 270 µsp99 lease + ACK latency
  • +129%Throughput after a profile-driven scheduler fix (4,284 to 9,792 jobs/s)
  • 7.4 MiBPeak memory with 64 worker threads

Measured on an Apple M5 with 5,000 jobs, SQLite WAL and synchronous=FULL. About 1.9k lines of Rust, with tests for competing claims, stale-token writes, lost ACKs and 1,000-job crash recovery.

VecStream

A vector-search engine built around HNSW written from scratch, with no FAISS or hnswlib. Graph construction, an exact-cosine recall oracle, graph validation and crash-safe local checkpoints that fall back to the last complete generation instead of opening empty.

  • 0.99recall@10 at ef_search 40
  • 1.1 msp50 query latency at that recall
  • 1.0kLines of Python in the engine
  • 44Tests, including property tests on randomized graph mutations

Smoke benchmark: 1,000 Gaussian vectors, 64 dimensions, 50 queries, M=16, Python 3.14 on Apple arm64. The README publishes the full recall and latency frontier and states its limits.

Create swatches from the world around you. Colors are extracted on the device from the camera or a photo, kept in a library, and exported as CSS, Swift, JSON or a print-ready card. No account, no ads, no analytics.
